APPLETON - Memorial services will be at Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Thursday for John Carl Ehlke, 64, of 525 W. Fifth St. The Rev. Richard J. Pankow will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
Mr. Ehlke died Tuesday morning following a lengthy illness.
A life resident of Appleton, he was born in the city Feb. 24, 1913. He retired in 1973 after 42 years of service with the Uhlemann Optical Company, most od this time as branch manager. He was a member of the Lions Club, member and officer of the Wisconsin Opticianary Association.
Survivors in addition to widow, Emma, are two sons,his mother, two brothers and four grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wisconsin Lung Association or the charity of the donor´s choice in care of the Wichmann Funeral Home.
